Why it works here

An open air booth needs a flat ten by ten and one regular outlet, so it sets up on a patio or in the garage of a home in Genoa, Minden or Gardnerville without taking over the party, and studio lighting keeps the photos crisp long after dark.

Timber and string lights are exactly what a premium backdrop and studio lighting were made for. We fit right into Carson Valley barns like Park Home Ranch, Corley Ranch and Jacobs Berry Farm, and when the nearest outlet is a long walk away we can bring our own power.

A ballroom crowd means a line, and a live attendant keeps it moving all night. We are at home in rooms like the Renaissance and the Grand Sierra in Reno or the ballrooms at the Peppermill, where we load in through the service entrance and take one corner.

Nothing we own beats the lake as a backdrop. We suit venues like the lakefront lawn at Edgewood Tahoe, the sand at Round Hill Pines and the beach at Zephyr Cove, setting up as close to the water as the ground allows, with our own power when there is none.

The whole booth can carry your brand, from the tap to start screen to every print, and we hand back the guest data afterwards. We suit rooms like the Reno-Sparks Convention Center, the Reno Events Center and the Nugget in Sparks, and any showroom floor with an outlet.

Over the hill and further out. Ask us about portable power for venues without a convenient outlet.

If your venue sits outside that ring, ask anyway. Beyond fifty miles a travel fee may apply, and we travel for destination weddings and remote mountain venues.

How do I book a photo booth for my event?

Booking is easy! Simply reach out to us with your event date, location, and the type of celebration you’re planning. We’ll help you choose the package that best fits your event, send over your agreement, and once your agreement is signed and your 50% retainer is received, your date is officially reserved.

Do you require a retainer to reserve my date?

Yes! We require a 50% non-refundable retainer and signed agreement to officially reserve your date. Until both are received, your date remains available for other clients to book.

How far in advance should I book my photo booth?

We recommend booking as early as possible, especially for weddings, holiday events, and popular dates in the Lake Tahoe-Reno and Northern Nevada areas. While we’ll always do our best to accommodate last-minute requests when we’re available, booking early gives you the best chance of securing your preferred date and package.

Can I change my package after booking?

Absolutely! We understand that event plans can change as your date gets closer. If you’d like to add additional hours, prints, a guest book, props, or another add-on, just let us know and we’ll do our best to accommodate your request based on availability.

What type of photo booth do you offer?

We offer modern, professional photo booth experiences designed for different types of events. Our Social Booth is perfect for smaller, intimate celebrations, while our Premier Package is designed for larger weddings and corporate events. We also offer Brand Activation experiences and our Travel Booth for remote and destination events.

Can I customize the photo booth experience for my event?

Absolutely! We love creating experiences that feel personal to your event. Depending on your package, we can customize elements such as photo designs and branding to complement your wedding, corporate event, celebration, or special occasion.

Do you offer physical photo prints?

Yes! We offer physical photo strip prints as well as a 4x6 print add-on, depending on the package you select. Physical prints give your guests a fun, tangible keepsake they can take home and enjoy long after your event.

What areas do you serve?

We proudly serve Northern Nevada, including Carson City, Reno, Lake Tahoe, and surrounding areas. We also travel for destination and remote events throughout the Sierra Nevada Mountains, including destinations such as Yosemite and Mammoth Mountain.

Do you travel for events?

Absolutely! We travel up to 50 miles for local events from Carson City, NV. Locations beyond 50 miles may require an additional travel fee. For destination weddings, remote mountain venues, and events farther from our local service area, we recommend booking our Travel Booth Package.

Can you set up at a location without access to electricity?

Yes! If your event location doesn't have convenient access to power, we offer an Off-Grid Power Add-On using portable electric power. This is especially helpful for outdoor weddings, mountain venues, remote gatherings, and other off-the-beaten-path events.

Can you set up outdoors?

Yes, outdoor events can be accommodated depending on the location and conditions. Because our equipment needs to be protected from the elements, we’ll work with you to determine the best setup location and any requirements needed to keep your photo booth experience running smoothly. Desert Glow Photos does not refund for inclement weather. We also cannot guarantee photo quality due to inconsistent lighting outside. We recommend having a backup plan for location in the event of inclement weather.

What are your setup requirements?

We require a dedicated 15 or 20 amp 120v (USA Standard) three-prong outlet for power, and a 10x10x10 space for setup. The actual unit will be set back roughly 4-7 feet from the backdrop. If you have props, we also will need additional space for a table up to 6 feet (table to be provided by client).
